The Lover’s Shoot

new

Vika and Marié were an obvious choice when I needed a couple to photograph for my latest workshop, aptly titled “The Lover’s Shoot”. They are fun loving, relaxed and in love. Tick, tick, tick.

The back story here? I was feeling super awkward at posing couples during family sessions, and wanted to overcome that. The other thing? Oh yeah, I loved a woman once, and that made it all the more meaningful for me to photograph this blissed up pair.

What a privilege and a joy to capture these two and their tender romance. To me there is nothing quite so exquisite as two women in love. Throw in two foreign accents, some serious chemistry and wow, I’ll just be over here picking myself up off the floor. After a cozy in home session where the girls read to each other in French (swoon) we headed to the Hobart waterfront for a sunset skate session. Finally we chatted and watched the moon rise across the Derwent. Ahhh.

Thank you to the girls of Greenwash skin, Vika and Marie, for letting me into their intimate world to capture their love story. Also to Anna Harris for guiding an incredible three week workshop that has given me so many invaluable tools for capturing couples together with emotion and authenticity.
