Back to Satellite

Satellite Island has to be one of the most romantic places on earth. An island off an island off an island…. I married my long term love there just a few months ago in a day that could only be described as magical.

When a last minute opportunity came up to photograph a friend’s fortieth birthday celebration on the island last week, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. Jane and her closest friends sipped aperol spritzs and Chef Jess Muir fed them sea urchins fresh from the waters of the D’entrecasteaux Channel. They wined, dined, laughed and cried and I was there to capture all the beauty of the day.

We wandered out to Last Glimpse Point, past the resident deers and shared glasses of Moët at sundown as sea eagles soared overhead. Finally we piled back into the all terrain vehicle and headed back to the boathouse deck to relax by the fire.

Now that is how you turn forty.
